I’m originally from a Dairy Farm in the Waikato, and spent 8 years living in London and Australia before starting with BCI in 2016 where I’ve introduced our platforms to many of NZ’s largest suppliers and manufacturers. I love where BCI is heading with its growth and development; we’re always looking to evolve and offer more to our clients. Outside of work, I have a young family and enjoy most sports, fishing and spending time at the beach.

Originally from Auckland, I moved to Ruawai in Northland in my early years before spending some time in Australia during my twenties. When it was time to raise a family, I came home to Auckland. I celebrated my 10 year anniversary with BCI in 2022, and have loved working with my clients and seeing our business evolve. In recent years, my husband and I have bought ownership in a couple of racehorses, and enjoy travelling around New Zealand to watch them race.

While I’ve got a long history of working in the building and construction industry here in New Zealand, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BSc), majoring in Psychology & Biological Anthropology from the University of Auckland. Outside of work, I’m quite the creative! I’m a photographer, foodie and musician — I’ve been playing guitar for 23 years, and have also had classical training playing the saxophone. I love to BBQ over charcoal, especially grilling seafood in the summer months.

Born and raised in Auckland, I spend most of my time playing football or watching any sport with a few mates and a beer. Working in Business Development for BCI has given me the opportunity to learn about how I can help a variety of companies accomplish their sales goals, while meeting new people and having a good yarn at the same time.

I’m a sci-fi/fantasy/pop-culture nerd that enjoys margaritas and Mexican food – and I’ve always been passionate about data and technology. In my position as New Zealand research manager, I get to develop and explore my interests in the data world, while also supporting and collaborating with an exceptional team of highly-skilled, like-minded researchers, data/consent analysts, and workmates. Our research efforts are backed by transformative and evolving technology that drives transparency and provides distinctive insights to our clients.

Being English it might not come as a surprise, but I have played football all my life and have been playing for the same team here in New Zealand for the past 28 years, the mighty Kings Arms Kosmos. Our original sponsor and namesake The Kings Arms Tavern was one, if not New Zealand’s most famous pub music venues, now sadly it is a block of apartments.

Assistant Editor Architecture NZ magazine and Interior Awards convenor

I have been interested in architecture most of my life, having grown up in a Dick Mercer-designed home in the Waikato and taken first-year architecture papers under Russell Walden at Victoria University. As a writer, working on Architecture NZ is the perfect job for me, as I get to stay up-to-date with the latest projects and the architects behind the designs.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Information Systems, from the University of Auckland. Working as a Sales Executive at BCI has offered the rewarding opportunity to connect with a range of individuals, solve their challenges and provide tailored solutions, all while honing valuable communication and negotiation skills. In my spare time, I enjoy having a pint with friends and going to the gym.

After graduating from the University of Otago I developed a strong interest in sales. BCI has provided valuable insight into the intricacies of the construction industry and also aided my acknowledgement of the value of communication skills. In my spare time, I enjoy playing rugby and watching sports. I have enjoyed my time at BCI so far and I am excited for what's to come.

I take great pride in helping people and businesses grow. Working for BCI Central enables me to support companies in their sales and marketing endeavours, which I genuinely enjoy. Outside of that, I love all things sport – whether playing or watching! I’m also a big foodie and love cooking a nice feed.

I am passionate about uplifting people in all aspects of life – I love seeing those around me succeed! In my role, I’m lucky to get plenty of opportunities to play a part in that journey by connecting NZ businesses with construction project leads. Outside of work, you will likely find me out in the great outdoors, or cooking for friends and family.

Nick Livingston

Sales Executive

Growing up I always had a passion for the construction industry. After graduating from the University of Otago with a degree in Economics & Management, I gained experience in the project management field before securing a role at BCI. Working at BCI has not only allowed me to strengthen my skills but also to establish new connections within the construction industry. In my spare time, I enjoy both playing and coaching sports, particularly Rugby, Sailing, cricket, and surfing. If I’m not engaged in sports, you can often find me socializing over a few beers, sharing stories and enjoying good company.

Liam McKernan
Sales Executive

After graduating from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Commerce, I spent time in various sales roles in the not-for-profit and FMCG industries before joining BCI. I enjoy the sales process and the opportunities it presents to build relationships with a huge variety of people and positively impact their business.

In my free time, you’ll catch me watching live music or sport, particularly enjoying rugby, football, league and golf.

Account Manager

Originally from Manchester (UK), I came to New Zealand at the end of 2018 for a 3-month campervan trip and never left – and I’m now the proud owner of a NZ residents visa. After graduating from the University of Leeds with a BA Hons in Philosophy, I began my career in public relations and over the past few years have been working within the structural engineering industry and construction product supply chain. At the weekends you’ll catch me on long walks (or runs) with my cocker spaniel puppy and hitting up the latest restaurants in Auckland.
